Hope for Humanity
Last week I lost my wallet and everything inside. I was freaking out because I didn’t have my student ID card, bus pass, bank cards, driver’s license, and priceless items like my friend’s photos. I didn’t know where I lost it but it disappeared sometime between 2pm-5pm.
During that time I walked all over campus and even rode the bus. It was when I was about to buy food for dinner did I realize I had lost it. I cancelled my bank cards and was really stressing about it.
For the next 3 days, I arranged to get a new license, bank card, and student ID. But then I get a letter in the mail saying that someone had turned in my wallet. When I got it back, nothing was stolen at all. It’s acts of kindness like that, which gives me some glimmer of hope for mankind.
Aw, I wish all cases were like that. Unfortunately, my bf has the worst luck in the world. He lost his wallet for a half an hour and when he found it, $200 was gone. :’D I’m hoping it’s just Edmonton and not his luck. :S
